TL;DR

Our ecosystem is changing, and the platforms we use are too. We're launching the Prisma Data Survey to capture the trends and insights we need to know to direct our roadmap.

We'll share our learnings with the community and participants have the chance to win a $50 gift card.

Announcing the Data Platform Research

Our community is instrumental in helping shape our roadmap and we want your feedback to build the products and features that would help you the most.

For this reason, we have partnered with ESG Global to learn from our current and future community regarding the problems we are looking to solve.

As Prisma expands beyond the ORM, we are considering a host of problems which we are describing as the Data Platform.

We've always strived to keep our mission in the forefront (making databases easy) and this research will help us learn how our community solves Data Platform challenges today, what pain points or opportunities exist, and how resetting expectations around a platform to solve these challenges could improve user experience.

What is the Prisma Prisma Data Platform?

The Prisma Data Platform is our vision for Prisma, beyond the open-source Prisma ORM, which we started sharing during our Prisma Day conference.

Prisma's vision is to democratise the custom data access layer used by companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Airbnb and make it available to development teams and organisations of all sizes.

This idea is largely inspired by companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Airbnb that built custom data access layers on top of their databases and other data sources to make it easier for the application developers to access the data they need in a safe and efficient manner.

You can already try out the Prisma Data Platform today.

What do we hope to learn?

Our goals are to use this research to understand:
